Peru lifts ban on suspending telecom contracts

Peruvian telecommunications regulator Osiptel has announced a gradual lifting of the ban on suspending or terminating telecommunications services due to customer non-payment. The country's operators have been prohibited from cancelling contracts due to non-payment since March with a view to protecting customers who end up in financial trouble during the coronavirus lockdown imposed by the government.
