Peru opens up national fibre backbone to public entities

Wednesday 13 May 2020 | 14:54 CET | News
Peru's transport and communications ministry (MTC) has announced that public institutions will be allowed to access the country's Fibre Optic Backbone Network (RDFO) to meet increased demand resulting from the country's coronavirus lockdown. The aim is to free up space on other internet networks so that private users can increase their browsing speed when working or studying from home, said the ministry.
