Peru ports record 181,000 mobile numbers in October

A total of 181,300 Peruvian mobile users ported their mobile number in October, over 6 percent more than the previous month and another monthly record, beating the figure of 178,476 numbers ported in August. The latest figures released by telecoms regulator Osiptel revealed new entrant Virgin Mobile gained 6,767 lines in October and that 24.7 percent of Entel's lines have come from other operators. A total of 2.4 million lines have been ported since mobile portability was introduced in the country back in July 2014.
