Peru regulator issues over PEN 25 mln in fines in H1

Peruvian telecommunications services regulator Osiptel said it handed down fines totalling over PEN 25 million on operators in the first half of 2021. Around 20 percent of the 166 fines were for issues related to portability, 16 percent for the ambulatory sale of telecommunications services and 11 percent due to breaches of the country's biometric identity system.
