Peru restores portability service after 1-week suspension

Monday 1 April 2019 | 15:51 CET | News
Peruvian telecommunications regulator Osiptel announced that the country's number portability (NP) system has been restored following a one-week suspension lasting from 25-31 March to enable a database administrator change. Informatica El Corte Ingles, the ICT unit of the Spanish department store chain, was last year awarded the NP management contract from 2019 to 2024, taking over from previous administrator Iconectiv Peru, a subsidiary of Ericsson's Telcordia Technologies.
