Peru watchdog proposes 60% cut in termination rates

Wednesday 15 November 2017 | 11:10 CET | News
Peru's telecomunications regulator Osiptel has published its proposed interconnection rates for 2018, suggesting that a single interconnection rate be charged to all mobile operators and that the termination fees be reduced by up to 60 percent. Under the watchdog's proposals, all operators will have to pay USD 0.00659 (before taxes) a minute for connecting to a rival network in urban areas and USD 0.00209 a minute in rural areas.
