Peru's Osiptel combines online tools into new mobile app

Peruvian telecommunications regulator Osiptel has announced the launch of a free mobile app for Android and iOS users that combines several of its online consumer information services. Tools available on the app include the watchdog's Comparatel service, where users can compare the main features of all fixed, mobile and convergent telephony plans currently offered by Peru's operators. They can also use the app to verify the status of their mobile device through "IMEI Consultation" service, check signal coverage throughout the country as well as the current state of any complaints they may
