Peru's Osiptel proposing to automate service quality monitoring

Peru's telecommunications watchdog Osiptel has published a proposal to strengthen its supervisory function and save money by introducing new technology to monitor service quality on operator networks. The watchdog proposes to use automated methods to remotely access the computer systems and databases of operators with a view to detecting any irregularity in the provision of mobile, fixed, internet and pay TV services in real time without having to wait for operator reports.
