Peruvian operators to invest USD 5.8 bln by 2020

Peruvian operators are set to invest more than USD 5.8 billion in network improvements and rollouts by 2020, reports local daily El Peruano, citing Sergio Cifuentes, director of country's Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel). The investment drive will be led by Telefonica, which expects to spend some USD 3 billion in the country over the next three years, followed by Entel (USD 1.8 billion), America Movil (Claro) and Bitel. The country's operators nearly doubled their network investments to USD 2.1 billion last year compared to the USD 1.1 billion invested
