Peruvian operator Olo is set to launch a 4G service to complement and eventually replace its WiMax-based business, reports tech website Tecnologia 21, citing the company's CEO Eli Sondon. "We will soon be informing our customers that they can change their equipment for new 4G (LTE) modems," said Sondon, adding that the operator was adopting the new technology to cope with the huge increase in data traffic. Olo launched operations in Peru's capital Lima in 2012 and was acquired by America Movil's local subsidiary earlier this year.
