Pharol challenges suspension of Oi board members

Portuguese company Pharol has challenged the removal of Luis Palha da Silva and Pedro Morais Leitao from the board of directors of Brazilian operator Oi. According to a statement issued by Pharol, they are not on the board on behalf of the Portuguese company but because of the recovery plan approved by the creditors, which provided for the creation of a transitional council with these two members. It points out that "the aforementioned directors are currently on the Board by the unilateral choice of directors Eurico Telles and Carlos Augusto Brandao, who are solely responsible for drafting
