Poland reaches 53% of country with 30+Mbps broadband

The Polish Minister of Administration and Digitalisation Andrzej Halicki discussed at a press conference progress and plans in broadband coverage in Poland. He gave details on completed regional broadband projects and the start of tenders under the Operational Programme Digital Poland. Internet at at least 30 Mbps is available to 53 percent of households, which means that Poland is half-way towards the full availability of 30 Mbps internet targeted under the EU's Digital Agenda. The share of inhabitants with internet access increased from 14 percent in 2003 to 75 percent in 2014. The minister
