Poland to have universal internet at minimum 30 Mbps by 2020

By 2020, everyone in Poland will have internet access available at a speed of at least 30 Mbps under the programme Digital Poland, managed by the Ministry of Administration and Digitisation, reports Media2.pl. Currently internet access is available to 70 percent of Polish households, and 76 percent of active lines allow a speed of at least 10 Mbps. Some 45,000 kilometres of constructed fibre-optic lines will allow the development of internet access and e-services in public administration. Also, more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) could emerge.
