Polish consumer regulator to check e-commerce sites

Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (Uokik) announced it will check in 2016 whether online sellers are living up to the latest consumer protection regulation. The Law on Consumer Rights marked its one-year anniversary on 25 December, and the regulator plans to assess whether e-commerce sites are adhering to the law. Uokik recently sanctioned two sites for violating the law. Xstritfashion did not give consumers their full period to return goods nor pay the cost of returning the goods.
