Polish ISPs to be obliged to block gambling sites from July

The Polish Ministry of Finance has published the first official list of domains that ISPs should block, based on the law on gambling that is due to enter into force in July. There are many questions associated with the implementation of the obligation, including ones on the technical possibilities for providing compliance. Operators will be obliged to block/unblock access to a domain within 48 hours of entry to/withdrawal from the register of gambling sites. The penalty for ISPs is up to PLN 250,000.
