Portugal authorises 5G technical trials in 1800 MHz band

Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) has granted authorisation for 5G technical trials in the 1800 MHz frequency band, for which operators already hold Frequency Usage Rights. According to the regulator, these initiatives make it possible to accumulate knowledge about new technologies and support preparation for the future commercial operation of 5G networks.
