Portugal doubtful over EU roaming compromise - report

The deadline agreed by the EU for operators to adopt new measures on roaming fees is tight, an official source at Portuguese regulator Anacom told Jornal de Negocios. The regulator also claims that the new agreement "may not be the best for Portugal", as "the definition of fair use, wholesale prices and the system for cost recovery are crucial in the success of this agreement". The unnamed Anacom source warned that this may have negative effects for consumers, such as possible increases in domestic prices. The head of Anacom, Fatima Barros, is also the current chairman of EU regulator Berec,
