Portugal e-commerce to grow 17% in 2016

PayPal estimates that online purchases in Portugal in 2016 will be worth EUR 2.3 billion, representing growth of 17 percent, reports Jornal de Negocios. The expectation is that online spending should grow by another 14 percent in 2017 to EUR 2.65 billion. For 2018, PayPal forecasts that the figure will rise to EUR 2.95 billion, as the result of further growth of 11 percent. The study also revealed that 70 percent of adults with internet access said they made online purchases in the past 12 months.
