Portugal ends H1 with 5.1 million fixed lines, up 1.5%

Friday 13 September 2019 | 11:44 CET | News
Portugal ended the first half of 2019 with nearly 5.1 million fixed telephony lines, up 1.5 percent year-year, accounting for a 49.3 percent penetration rate. According to data from the National Communications Authority (Anacom), the growth (+76,000) was mainly due to the increase in VoIP/VoB accesses (+356,000), which includes lines over fibre-optic and cable TV networks.
