Portugal fixed broadband market growth slows to 6% in 2018

Fixed broadband was used by 76.3 percent of households in Portugal at the end of 2018, and 98.9 percent of the customers acquired the service as part of a package, according to data published by the National Communications Authority (Anacom). The number of fixed broadband subscribers increased by 5.9 percent or 210,000 over the year to 3.8 million. The growth slowed to less than the average of 7.3 percent per year over the past four years.
