Sunday 26 April 2015 | 15:47 CET | News
Portuguese regulator Anacom announced a public consultation on what to do with spectrum available in the 3.4-3.8 GHz frequency band. Anacom favours releasing the spectrum for mobile broadband services and is seeking market views on possible applications and services. It will use the feedback to decide how to allocate the frequencies. The spectrum includes frequencies remaining from the BWA auction in 2009, spectrum resulting from the revocation of rights held by Oni and Sonaecom and also spectrum that was allocated to Meo and which came available following the FWA refarming process.
