Portugal pay-TV subscribers rise 3.8% to 3.7 mln

There were around 3.7 million subscribers for pay-TV services in Portugal at the end of the first quarter, according to the National Communications Authority (Anacom) . This is 22,000 more than in previous quarter and 135,000 (3.8%) more than the year before. This growth was mainly due to fibre optic offerings, which increased by 6.3 percent in relation to the previous quarter and by 29.4 percent year-on-year.
