Portugal proposes social internet tariff of EUR 5/month with 12 GB

Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) has proposed a social broadband internet tariff of EUR 5 per month (EUR 6.15 including VAT at the current rate of 23%), available for consumers on low incomes or with special social needs. Providers must ensure minimum speeds of 10/1 Mbps as well as a minimum monthly traffic value of 12 GB.
