Portugal smartphone sales down 5.4% in 2019

Smartphone sales in Portugal in 2019 amounted to 2.59 million units in 2019, 5.4 percent less than the previous year, according to IDC data. Samsung ended the year as market leader with sales of 825,000 smartphones (+14.8%) and a 31 percent market share. Second-placed Huawei sold 751,000 smartphones (-4.9%), followed by Apple with 323,000 units (+3.2%) and TCL with 143,000 devices (+1.9%). Fifth place Xiaomi achieved the highest growth (39.6%), selling 119,000 smartphones.
