Portugal Telecom joins 'No More Ransom' project

Portugal Telecom and the National Cybersecurity Center have joined the 'No More Ransom' project in Portugal that aims to fight ransomware attacks, reports Observador. The project has been active for the past nine months and is available in fourteen languages, with 39 decryption tools that can be used for free. 'No More Ransom' is an initiative by Europol's European Cybercrime Centre (EC3), the Netherlands National Police Force, Kaspersky Lab and Intel Security with the aim of improving the level of cooperation between the police and the private sector in the fight against ransomware.
