Portuguese make 420 complaints about WAP billing since start of 2019

More than 420 complaints have been registered in the Portal da Queixa (Complaint Portal) in Portugal since the beginning of the year about WAP billing. This is a mechanism that allows users to purchase content from WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) pages, charged directly to the invoice of the internet access service, or in many cases, to the mobile credit balance, in the case of prepaid subscriptions. Despite interventions by Anacom and Apritel, the problem has been dragging on for years.
