Portuguese mobile voice and internet traffic surge in 2020

Portuguese mobile voice traffic increased by 16.4 percent in 2020 compared with 2019, and mobile broadband internet traffic grew 28.1 percent, according to the National Communications Authority (Anacom). The number of mobile lines reached 17.2 million, of which 12.4 million (72.1%) were actively used, down 0.5 percent. Excluding PC/tablet/pen/router lines, the number of mobile accesses amounted to 11.9 million.
