Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) approved the draft decision on the changes to the DTT network in order to prepare the release of the 700 MHz band for the development of 5G. In the second half of November, a pilot test will be carried out to assess the methodology and actions planned. Changes to the DTT network will be made gradually, in a process that will take about six months and will start in January, in the southern part of the country. The draft decision is open for public consultation during 20 working days.
