Portuguese regulator approves Meo prices charged to broadcasters

Friday 25 September 2020 | 13:55 CET | News
Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) approved the prices currently charged by DTT network operator Meo to broadcasters for the provision of coding, multiplexing, transport and broadcasting services for their free-to-air DTT channels. In its decision, the regulator stated that there are no indications that the prices charged by Meo do not comply with the principles of transparency, non-discrimination and cost-orientation of prices. Therefore, Anacom does not consider it necessary to review the prices currently charged by Meo until the next annual evaluation.
