Portuguese regulator approves mobile broadband agreement

Wednesday 8 March 2017 | 17:26 CET | News
Portugal's National Communications Authority (Anacom) approved the draft decision on the agreement between Meo, Nos and Vodafone Portugal for covering 588 locations without mobile broadband. The additional coverage was imposed under the process of renewal of the rights to use frequencies in the 2100 MHz band, approved by the regulator on 18 February 2016. Anacom also agreed to allow future bilateral exchanges of locations, setting the date of 21 March 2018 to be notified of any consensual changes to the agreement, for the purposes of ratification and public disclosure.
