Portuguese telecom hardware market grows 8% in Q1

The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Portugal started 2019 with a positive quarter, growing by 4.3 percent year-on-year to EUR 703 million in Q1, according to figures from GfK. The telecom segment grew by 7.9 percent in Q1 to EUR 256 million, while IT was up by 4.3 percent to EUR 125 million. However, consumer electronics started the year on a negative note, dropping by 2.6 percent on Q1 2018, to EUR 81 million.
