Portuguese telecom operators allowed to limit or block non-essential services

The Portuguese government approved a decree-law establishing exceptional and temporary measures regarding the electronic communications sector, reports Jornal Economico. In practice, the legislation will allow operators to limit or block access to non-essential internet broadband services - such as video games and digital platforms - in case of high network demand, in favour of critical state services.
