Portuguese voice and data traffic decreases in final week of state of emergency

In the week 27 April – 02 May, the last week in which the state of emergency was in place, data traffic in Portugal decreased by 1 percent from the previous week and voice traffic fell by 3 percent. According to figures from the National Communications Authority (Anacom), data traffic was 55 percent higher than in the pre Covid-19 period, fixed data traffic up 59 percent, and mobile data traffic fell by 3 percent. More than 95 percent of data traffic was carried on fixed network.
