Brazilian PC and mobile phone manufacturer Positivo posted a net profit of BRL 4.6 million in the third quarter of 2017, down 15.5 percent from the same period last year. The company's net revenue totaled BRL 437 million in the quarter, up 5.6 percent.

Computer sales in the period grew by 35 percent, to 279,000 units, benefiting from an improvement in the domestic market. However, mobile sales fell 46 percent to 380,200 units, amid strong competition. In its financial report, Positivo said that a "normalization of the competitive landscape for the coming months cannot yet be envisaged, which may inhibit revenue growth in early 2018".
