The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) has approved an adjustment in voice tariffs for mobile network operators to help forestall dim prospects in the telecoms sector, reports the Herald. Potraz approved a tariff increase for voice calls of just over 182 percent, from USD 0.17 per minute to USD 0.48 per minute on average, a move seen as a way of cushioning the industry from the challenges of a weakening local currency against the US dollar and unprecedented power cuts.
