Potraz approves mobile tariffs hike

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) has approved a 95.39 percent increase in voice, data and SMS tariffs for both mobile and fixed network operators as previous tariffs were ravaged by inflationary pressures, the Herald reported. In a circular to operators, the regulator said the previous tariffs set in August had been rendered "unsustainable" as the operating environment has further deteriorated due to inflationary pressures.
