Potraz unveils new roaming tariffs under SADC pilot

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) has come up with a new roaming tariffs structure as part of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) roaming glide path pilot. From 01 September, roaming customers will pay a maximum of USD 0.28 per minute for calls within Namibia, USD 0.34 in Botswana and USD 0.86 in Zambia. Calls to Zimbabwe from Namibia will attract a maximum of USD 0.53, down from an average of USD 0.73 per minute. Phoning home from Botswana will attract a maximum charge of USD 1.19 per minute.
