Prisa confirms appeal against Spanish DTT award

Spanish media group Prisa has confirmed that it will proceed to lodge an appeal against the government's reported decision to grant new DTT licences to Atresmedia, Mediaset and Real Madrid, among other bidders. The licences have yet to be officially granted but numerous sources have indicated that Spain's industry ministry has awarded the new DTT channels to Atresmedia, Mediaset, Real Madrid TV, Grupo Secuoya, 13TV and radio group Radio Blanca (Kiss FM), with Prisa, Vocento and supermarket giant El Corte Ingles missing out.
