Prisa, Mediapro in talks to merge audiovisual businesses

Spanish media group Prisa has opened talks with rival Mediapro to unite their TV and radio interests. The companies have given themselves one month to find an agreement to put their audiovisual businesses into a new joint venture holding company. Prisa and Mediapro have hired Citi, HSBC and Morgan Stanley to value the assets, writes Expansion. Prisa has also sounded out Telefonica's interest in taking part in the new holding company, according to the newspaper.
