Prisa to file for bankruptcy in the US – report

Spanish media company Promotora de Informaciones (Prisa) has weighed filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US, Dow Jones reports, citing sources familiar with the matter. Prisa has lately been seeking to refinance about USD 3 billion of debt. The discussions of different restructuring options are still underway and no decision ahs been taken yet, the sources added. The company could also restructure in Spain, in or out of court.
