Profeco prevails in class action against AT&T Mexico

Mexico's consumer protection agency Profeco announced that the country's supreme court dismissed a final appeal lodged by AT&T's local unit against a class action brought by former Nextel customers. The action was prompted by improper charges applied by Nextel between 2012 and 2014, including illegal charges on telecommunication services not contracted or subsequently cancelled by postpay and prepay users.
