ProSieben to broadcast HD channels via DVB-T2 HD

German media services provider Media Broadcast has welcomed an announcement by ProSiebenSat.1 Group that it plans to broadcast its TV programmes via DVB-T2 HD in Full HD. Media Broadcast will start introducing the DVB-T2 HD platform in Germany from Q2 2016, transmitting HDTV via the digital TV antenna for the first time. The introductory phase will include six HD channels, which will be available in several metropolitan areas. From Q1 2017, the nationwide transmission is planned with around 40 public and private channels.
