Proximus adds customer opt-out for mobile location data analytics service

Belgian operator Proximus has agreed to give its mobile customers an opt-out from sharing their location data for sale to third parties. Proximus said this was not a legal requirement, as the data sold is anonymised, but customers can send an email to the company from 02 December if they prefer not to be included in the service, Datanews reports.
