Proximus launches 4.5G in Antwerp, Ghent, Charleroi

Proximus has claimed a first in Belgium with the launch of 4.5G services in Antwerp, Charleroi and Ghent. After testing the technology with Huawei last year, the operator has started the services now, offering speeds up to 450 Mbps. The company said it will soon launch supporting devices from Samsung. Proximus' 4G network already covers 99.7 percent of the population and offers average download speeds of 38.3 Mbps.
