Prysmian telecom sales up 0.4% in 2019, impacted by H2 slowdown

Friday 6 March 2020 | 09:42 CET | News
Milan-listed cable maker Prysmian reported a 0.4 percent organic growth in its telecommunications business sales to EUR 1.65 billion 2019, thanks mainly to the contribution of the North American market, offset by lower volumes in H2. The latter was attributed to the surplus stock accumulated by several clients in Europe and Asia-Pacific and the impact of several one-off effects in 2018. As a result, adjusted EBITDA came in at EUR 274 million compared to EUR 295 million a year earlier, with adjusted EBITDA ratio to sales declining to 16.2 percent from 18.0 percent in 2018.
