PSBs account for 51% of UK broadcast TV viewing - Ofcom

Public service broadcasters (PSBs) still account for more than half of broadcast TV viewing in the UK, and around 3 in 4 viewers are satisfied with programmes on these channels, according to the latest Ofcom research. The annual report shows how well the PSBs -BBC, ITV, STV in Scotland, UTV in Northern Ireland, Channel 4, S4C in Wales and Channel 5 - delivered their public service remit in 2015. It shows that investment in programmes on their public service channels appears to be stabilising after several years of decline and spending has increased on new factual programmes and original
