PT Portugal to outsource 400 customer service workers

Monday 14 August 2017 | 12:27 CET | News
PT Portugal is inviting over 400 employees from the customer service department to terminate their work contacts. The aim is to replace them with outsourcing workers, in a more precarious situation who earn less, Jorge Felix, president of the Portugal Telecom Workers' Union (STPT), told daily Publico. He added that some of the employees could be transferred to other companies, using the facility transmission mechanism, as has happened with more than 100 workers from other areas since the beginning of summer.
