PTS issues guidelines for consent to use customer data

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it has drawn up guidelines about gaining subscriber consent for the use of their information. PTS said its guidelines state the operators' information about how they deal with customer data should be easy to understand and should describe which data are concerned, what they are used for and for how long. The watchdog said operators must seek consent again if there are changes to treatment of data.
