Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it is contacting all holders of permits for frequencies in the 3.4 GHz to 3.8 GHz band. The 3.4-3.8 GHz band is harmonised for terrestrial electronic communications networks under a 2014 European Commission decision. The aim is to ascertain whether there is any need to reallocate spectrum in the 3.4-3.6 GHz band, for which two national block permits expire on 31 December 2017.
