PTS probes operators over customer equipment security

Tuesday 4 November 2014 | 12:43 CET | News
Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it is looking into what operators do to ensure the security of their customers' equipment and to protect their information. This follows a number of media articles concerning vulnerabilities in broadband modems used by customers of two operators, it said. PTS will be posing questions to the largest companies. Annica Bergman, head of the network security department at PTS, said consumers must be able to feel safe when they ring up or use the internet.
